A moment in time where happiness saved your life, or sadness took it. The moment when a bad decision made your enemies your friends, or a good decision that tore your family apart. When you rejoiced the heavens, or worshipped hell…

Through the stages of life since infancy…in a blink of an eye you’d miss it

Leaving your mother nothing but heartache, playing both rolls the best she can

Remember the time you stole money from the cashier, thinking that was so cool

Only to have your ass kicked by a bully who stole it from you

Fell for the bait by some undercover cop and got locked up when they featured your ass on “Dateline”

The moment you shot yourself full of drugs, that very moment your life changed

Was it for the good, or for the bad…we can agree it made you a little deranged

There were good times you had, I would be remissed to forget to take you there

Like the time you proposed to your wife on your knees at your indy film’s world premiere

You’ll never forget the moment when everyone haled you the victor of a hot political race

And how you turned your fortunes around to be in everybody’s good grace

Let me take you to the congregation you spoke to, spreading His Blessings to the faithful

While keeping the devil at bay, with all his schemes and reasonings to be disgraceful

I’ll take you back to the moment at hand where you gave life to someone in dire need

A precious kidney you parted with when you heard the sufferer’s plead

Let me take you there…

My journey flows with your journey. I will never leave. I only expand your world in order for you to make your choices. Good or Bad. Right or Wrong. I will stay when you decide to drown me with alcohol, impair me with drugs. I will never depart when you fill me with confidence, and the grace of God. Ignore me if you will, be you will come back to me to remember…
